becd640c86 fix: Address Dockerfile issues identified by toolbox-qadocker audit
This commit fixes several issues in the toolbox-base Dockerfile that were identified during the audit:

- Added SHELL directive with pipefail option where pipes are used
- Fixed syntax error in user creation logic by changing 'else if' to 'elif'
- Removed problematic 'cd' usage, replacing with 'git -C' for directory-specific operations
- Added SHELL directive to second stage where pipes are used
- Improved multi-line RUN command formatting with proper semicolon usage

These changes resolve the following Hadolint errors:
- DL4006: Missing pipefail in RUN commands with pipes
- SC1075: Incorrect use of 'else if' instead of 'elif'
- DL3003: Usage of 'cd' instead of WORKDIR

The Dockerfile now passes Hadolint validation when ignoring version pinning
and multiple RUN command warnings, which are expected in this context.

# TSYS Development Stack - SHIP OR BUST
This repository is the home of the TSYS Group Development Stack.
It's been "reset" (the working directory anyway) (keeping the git history)(messy though it is...) at 2025-11-05 15:44. For the very last time!
I need to ship this by 2025-11-15.
This file has been created to form a "line in the sand" and force myself to ship ship ship.
I started working on this project in late August early September (creating/destroying dozens of repos/attempts/versions). I've tried all manner of coding agents/approaches/structures. This is very public and very messy. On purpose. I want folks to see all the ups and downs of developing a large project (with or without AI coding agents).
After weeks of :
- Claude Code
- Open Code
- Codex
- Gemini
- Qwen
(and some Cursor, and some roo/cline/continue in VsCode)
and messing with git workflows/git worktrees
and lots of reading of what other folks are doing ....
I keep coming back to qwen running in a full screen terminal window on my right screen, and VsCode on the left.
I briefly tried running qwen in the VsCode integrated terminal (with/without the qwen coding assistant plugin) but I think the combination of xterm.js/node/ssh was too much and when I would resize the terminal window or move VsCode around, weird repaint issues would happen and sometimes qwen (and the other agents as well) would crash. That was annoying.
So now I keep things simple.
One VsCode window/workspace
One terminal (two tabs) (the actual work and a QA tab)
All in on Qwen. Just cancelled my ChatGPT Plus subscription and deleted my account.

Overview
This SupportStack is the always-on, developer-shared utility layer for local work and personal use. It is separate from per-project stacks (which own their DBs and runtime dependencies)
and separate from the LifecycleStack (build/package/release tooling).
Services here are intended to be stable, long-running, and reusable across projects.
Architecture & constraints
- Dev environment: Debian 12 VM with a devcontainer base + specialized containers. Each project ships an identical docker-compose.yml in dev and prod.
- Deployment model: 12factor principles. Per-project stateful services (databases, caches) live inside each project stack, not in SupportStack.
- LifecycleStack: build/package/release tooling (Trivy, credential management container, artifact signing, CI runners) lives in a separate stack.
- Cloud policy: no public cloud for local infrastructure (Hard NO). Cloud-targeted tools may exist only for cloud dev environments (run in the cloud).
- Networking/UI: access services by ports. No need for reverse proxies (Caddy/Traefik) in SupportStack; the homepage provides the unified entry point.
- Credentials: projects consume secrets from the creds container in LifecycleStack. Do NOT add a credential injector to SupportStack.
- Data ownership: SupportStack contains developer & personal services (MailHog, Atuin, personal analytics). Project production data and DBs are explicitly outside SupportStack.
Operational guidelines
- Use explicit ports and stable hostnames for each service to keep UX predictable.
- Pin container images (digest or specific semver) and include healthchecks.
- Limit resource usage per container (cpu/memory) to avoid noisy neighbors.
- Persist data to named volumes and schedule regular backups.
- Centralize logs and metrics (Prometheus + Grafana + Loki) and add basic alerting.
- Use network isolation where appropriate (bridge networks per stack) and document exposed ports.
- Use a single canonical docker-compose schema across dev and prod to reduce drift.
- Document service purpose, default ports, and admin credentials in a small README inside the SupportStack repo (no secrets in repo).
