f6a52bf337 ar71xx: Enable mtdsplit support for RB SPI NOR devices
This patch enables mtdsplit for the MikroTik subtarget.
It converts mach-rbspi.c to use a single "firmware" partition.
Finally, it converts the SPI NOR profile to metadata images:
the original combined-image format is gone, the images are now
"standard" sysupgrade images with metadata appended.

Note: kernel2minor apparently pads the kernel container to erase-block
boundary, but this is undocumented behaviour, so we do not rely on it
and call pad-to anyway.

Note: in platform.sh, the boards are tested last in platform_check_image()
as this should eventually become the "*)" default case when more devices
switch to metadata images.

748e701b74 ar71xx: add preliminary kernel support for several RB SPI NOR devices
The cAP 2nD, mAP 2nD and wAP 2nD apparently all share the same QCA953x/SPI-NOR
platform.

This patch adds preliminary kernel support based on init data used in
Mikrotik's linux-3.3.5 kernel patch. Since this is totally experimental and
untested, the necessary glue in base-files has not been added, the code is
provided as a starting point in case somebody with that hardware wants to help
getting it supported.

The cAP lite (cAPL 2nD) should also be supported once it is determined whether
or not it uses the same board identifier as the mAP lite.

Code has been successfully built and has no side effect (no impact on already
supported devices).

c59fa94eee ar71xx: add support for RB mAP L-2nD
This patch adds support for the MikroTik RouterBOARD mAP lite
https://routerboard.com/RBmAPL-2nD

Specifications:
- SoC: Qualcomm QCA9533 (650MHz)

This is another 16M SPI NOR mikrotik device. The machine file is named
mach-rbspi.c because I plan to add support for several of the other spi-based
RouterBOARD devices in subsequent patches: they share most of the hardware
and thus the same codebase.

- UART (J3) header on PCB

Flash instruction: use "factory" image directly in vendor GUI.

Warning: this device does not include any kind of recovery mechanism
in the bootloader and disassembling process is not trivial.

You can access vendor firmware over serial line using:
- login: root
- password: sohoadmin

Image was tested only in US version of the device, but should work
also with the same device version sold in other countries.

Available FLASH space, with LEDE trunk, is only 240 KB.

9c475eca3e ar71xx: add support for TP-Link RE450
Add full support for TP-Link RE450.
The wireless SoC is similiar to Archer C7: QCA9558 + QCA9880 (pci).
The ethernet interface is AR8035, but the mdio is connected to the gpio and
the chipset builtin mdio bus isn't used, which is unique (and weird), so the
kernel gpio mdio module is used.
The two ethernet leds are connected to the GPIO, so they are both configured,
one to indicate link status and the other to indicate data transfer.

The generation of the image was added to the image Makefile.
The return value of tplink-safeloader is not ignored anymore (to fail on error)

The result factory image is flashable from the stock web ui.

fd62fa752b ar71xx: Add support for Netgear WNR2000v1
This patch adds supports for the WNR2000v1 board with 4MB flash, and
produces device-specific factory, rootfs, and sysupgrade files for the
WNR2000v1. This board is errorneously claimed as supported on the OpenWRT
wiki as AP81, but AP81 image would not work because of APT81 image
requiring having 8MB of flash, while WNR2000v1 has only 4MB.

The image requires the u-boot bootloader to be modified to fuhry's
bootloader first.

Short specification:

- CPU: Atheros AR9132
- 4x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, 1x WAN 10/100 Mbps
- 4 MB of Flash
- 32 MB of RAM
- UART header (J1) on board
- 1x button

Factory/Initial flash instructions:

- Set up a TFTP server on your local machine.
- Download the uImage for ar71xx-generic and the rootfs image for
ar71xx-generic-wnr2000 and save in the tftp server root.
- Gain serial access to the router via the UART port (telnetenable over
  the network only won't work!).
- Upgrade the u-boot bootloader to fuhry's version by running the
  script: http://fuhry.com/b/wnr2000/install-repart.sh
- When the router restarts, interrupt u-boot and gain access to u-boot command line.
- Repartititon the board and flash initial uImage and rootfs as follow.

Commands to type in u-boot:

	# tells u-boot that we have a tftp server on 192.168.1.10
	setenv serverip 192.168.1.10

	# tells u-boot that the router should take the address 192.168.1.1
	setenv ipaddr 192.168.1.1

	# erase the region from 0x050000-0x3f0000
	erase 0xbf050000 +0x3A0000

	# loads sqfs.bin on TFTP server, and put it to memory address 0x81000000
	tftpboot 0x81000000 sqfs.bin
	# it will tell you the length of sqfs.bin in hex, let's say ZZZZZZ
	# copy bit by bit 0xZZZZZZ bytes from offset 0x050000
	cp.b 0x81000000 0xbf050000 0xZZZZZZ

	# same to the uImage.bin, write it right next to sqfs.bin
	# again, 0xYYYYYY is the length that tftpboot reports
	tftpboot 0x81000000 uImage.bin
	cp.b 0x81000000 0xbf2a0000 0xYYYYYY

	# We need to tell the kernel what board it is booting into, and where to find the partitions
	setenv bootargs "board=WNR2000 console=ttyS0,115200 mtdparts=spi0.0:256k(u-boot)ro,64k(u-boot-env)ro,3712k(firmware),64k(art)ro rootfstype=squashfs,jffs2 noinitrd"

	# Tell u-boot where to find the uImage
	setenv bootcmd "bootm 0xbf2a0000"

	# Tell u-boot to save parameters to the u-boot-env partitions
	saveenv

	# Reset the board
	reset

Tested on:

- WNR2000v1 board.
- Initial flash works.

Known bugs:

- I don't know why factory image doesn't work on initial flash on stock
firmware in u-boot recovery mode while it should.
- Sysupgrade does not yet work, if you do -f it will mess up your
installation (requiring a reinstall of sqfs and uImage).

28dd52b079 ar71xx: add mac partition to the MR12/MR16
On the stock Meraki Firmare for the MR12/MR16, a chunk of SPI space
after u-boot-env is used to store the boards Mac address. Sadly as this
was removed on any device already on OpenWRT/LEDE, moving forward a new,
64k partition named "mac" will be used to store the mac address for the
device (which is the minimum size). This allows users to properly set
the correct MAC, without editing the ART partition (which holds the same
MAC for all devices).

The reason the space is taken from kernel instead of rootfs is currently
kernels are only 1.3MB, so that way we can leave the current rootfs
space alone for users who fully utilize the available storage space.

Once this partition is added to a device, you can set your MAC doing the
following:

mtd erase mac
echo -n -e '\x00\x18\x0a\x33\x44\x55' > /dev/mtd5
sync && reboot

Where 00:18:0a:33:44:55 is your MAC address.

This was tested, and confirmed working on both the MR12 and MR16.

     #> setenv bootfile lede-ar71xx-nand-c-60-initramfs-kernel.bin
     #> tftpboot
     #> bootm

  2. Wait for the C-60 to boot LEDE.
     On the root prompt. Enter:
     # ubiformat /dev/mtd4
     # ubiattach -p /dev/mtd4

  3. After that copy the sysupgrade.tar onto the router and run:
     # sysupgrade sysupgrade.tar

     to flash the image.

Special thanks to Chris Blake <chrisrblake93@gmail.com>. He provided

4d6c4994fc ar71xx: Use PHY fixups for Open Mesh MR1750
The delays of PHY/MAC on the MR1750 are done by u-boot and OpenWrt in
different ways. u-boot only modifies the ETH_CFG of the QCA955x based on
the link speed. But OpenWrt can only modify the PHY delays based on the
link speed.

This can lead to communication problems when u-boot initializes the ETH_CFG
for a specific link speed (e.g. 10BASE-T) but then OpenWrt the sets the PHY
delays to an incompatible value.

Instead reset the ETH_CFG delay bits of the QCA955x to a specific value and
only rely on the AT803x PHY settings.

22c5f96c6b ar71xx: Allow to set the RXDV, RXD, TXD, TXE delays for QCA955x
Some u-boot versions for QCA955x change the delays based on the link speed
during boot. This usually breaks the support of other linkspeeds when
OpenWrt is booted. It also conflicts with the
at803x_platform_data::fixup_rgmii_tx_delay. OpenWrt has to set its own
values in QCA955X_GMAC_REG_ETH_CFG.

The default RGMII values from the Atheros u-boot are currently used to
preset the existing mach files. These may have to be adjusted for boards
using different values but which are not currently set them explicitely in
OpenWrt.

In r45970 the MAC swap handling was made opt-in, however some boards
have been forgotten during the conversion. Since the reference design
uses this MAC swapping, and pretty much all known boards using this chip

than leaving it disabled.

8d8a937272 ar71xx: Add Gainstrong MiniBox v1.0 support to trunk
This patch supersedes the v1 from September 17th.

Bumping the patch version - the MiniBox profile showed up under M, but
since it's called 'Gainstrong MiniBox v1.0' now it looks out of place.
Renamed the profile to gs-minibox-v1.mk to fix that.

The following patch adds support for the Gainstrong MiniBox into trunk
(or 'Designated Driver' :D ).

Fixed items:

- Inverted LED polarity (OOLITE seems to suffer from the same problem).
- Changed uppercase MINIBOX_V1_ prefix as requested.
- Prefixes are now gs_minibox_ similar to gs_oolite_ (same vendor).
- Mention the vendor (Gainstrong) in code headers.

Compiles fine, has been confirmed working by owners on 15.05.

Question: I've seen some boards use tools/firmware-utils/src/mktplinkfw.c,
the MiniBox images build fine without, so I'm wondering: do I need to add
it in there as well? Any added benefit?

Thank you

This patch adds support for TP-Link TL-WDR6500 v2.

The firmware has a U-Boot header for kernel, and a TP-LINK v2 header for
the whole firmware, so I have to create a new firmware creation method.

4a9d726200 ar8216: Fix problem with AR8337 MAC swap handling
AR8337 supports a configuration bit to swap MAC0 and MAC6.
Currently this is set in general if an AR8337 is detected and causes
issues with devices using an AR8334 (internally an AR8337, just
less chip pins).
And it might even cause issues with AR8337-based devices with
different board designs.

Swapping the MAC's however isn't needed for AR8337 in general.
It's just needed in case of certain board designs (affected devices
seem to be based on Atheros reference board AP135/136-010).
Therefore this configuration bit should be moved to platform data.

The patch includes the needed changes to the device initialization
code of affected devices. Hopefully I didn't miss any ..

28d8972c25 ar71xx: fix 100/10mbps ethernet link issues on mynet range extender
The mynet range extender hardware is suffering from ethernet
link loss when booting with a recent openwrt image. This only
happens on 100mbps links, with 1Gbps speed the link was fine.

The cause of the problem is that the AR8035 PHY (aka F1E)
requires turning on and off the special TX delay setting
depending on the speed of the link.

The 10mbps mode only needed the proper pll value, which was
extracted from the vendor code.

6413f40e96 ar71xx: fix ethernet on wnr2000-v4
Most people report broken ethernet with upstream. Last year, user "franz.flasch"
authored a working mach-file. His patch is outdated so I modernized it. Original
patch and user commentary on page 1:
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=260861#p260861

I have figured out what the critical differences are between the two that caused
upstream ethernet to break.
  1) Both ath79_init_mac() functions calls must be invocated before any GMAC init
  2) must init GMAC0 before GMAC1

That was enough to get upstream to function, but I wanted to enjoy my confidence
having tested franz's patch for a week sucessfully, so I put his whole
function in, which only features more differences in order of function calls.

An expert should consider these changes, which could pose potential bugs/issues:
1) No longer using the flag AR934X_ETH_CFG_SW_PHY_SWAP in the
ath79_setup_ar934x_eth_cfg() call.

2) Possible consequence of no longer explicitly setting ethernet duplex/speed.

Review: With this patch, my ethernet and wireless works.

f4e6418a32 ar71xx: add a helper function to set RXDV/RXD of ETH_CFG on AR934x
The ETH_RXDV_DELAY (17:16) and ETH_RXD_DELAY (15:14) are currently not cleared
by the function ath79_setup_ar934x_eth_cfg. Clearing these in the

rely on the preset value by the bootloader.

machines which require special settings.

5ca2ad1063 Fix (invert/revert) Hornet-UB WPS LED state
My previous patch regarding the Hornet-UB board
(commit: beed4d82d6a0154b0cd5f7b84e2180215ace6718) actually
causes the WPS led state to be inverted. Practically this meant
that value 0 in /sys/class/led/alfa:blue:wps/brightness would
turn the LED on and any positive value (1-255) would turn it off.

The above of course is confusing and hence reverting this value
back to the way it was before beed4d82d6a0154b0cd5f7b84e2180215ace6718.
