Nick Hainke 0a0d89265e Revert "tools/mkimage: update to v2024.04" ...

This reverts commit 8d934c11968de49ad17bc62366a88230e47b4f56.

The update seems to be causing issues that need to be further
explored [0]. Let's revert it.
