be0f1c1b26 mvebu: add support for Buffalo LinkStation LS220DE
The Buffalo LinkStation LS220DE is a dual bay NAS, based on Marvell
Armada 370

Hardware:
   SoC:         Marvell Armada 88F6707
   CPU:         Cortex-A9 800 MHz, 1 core
   Flash 1:     SPI-NOR 1 MiB (U-Boot)
   Flash 2:     NAND 512 MiB (OS)
   RAM:         DDR3 256 MiB
   Ethernet:    1x 1GbE
   USB:         1x 2.0
   SATA:        2x 3Gb/s
   LEDs/Input:  5x / 2x (1x button, 1x slide-switch)
   Fan:         1x casing

Flash instructions, from hard drive:
  1. Get access to the "boot" partition at the hard drive where the stock
     firmware is installed. It can be done with acp-commander or by
     plugging the hard drive to a computer.
  2. Backup the stock uImage:
         mv /boot/uImage.buffalo /boot/uImage.buffalo.bak
  3. Move and rename the Openwrt initramfs image to the boot partition:
         mv openwrt-initramfs-kernel.bin /boot/uImage.buffalo
  4. Power on the Linkstation with the hardrive inside. Now Openwrt will
     boot, but still not installed.
  5. Connect via ssh to OpenWrt:
         ssh root@192.168.1.1
  6. Rename boot files inside boot partition
         mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt
         mv /mnt/uImage.buffalo /mnt/uImage.buffalo.openwrt.bak
         mv /mnt/initrd.buffalo /mnt/initrd.buffalo.bak
  7. Format ubi partitions at the NAND flash ("kernel_ubi" and "ubi"):
         ubiformat /dev/mtd0 -y
         ubidetach -p /dev/mtd1
         ubiformat /dev/mtd1 -y
  8. Flash the sysupgrade image:
         sysupgrade -n openwrt-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
  9. Wait until it finish, the device will reboot with OpenWrt installed
     on the NAND flash.

Restore the stock firmware:
  1. Take the hard drive used for the installation and restore boot backup
     files to their original names:
         mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt
         mv /mnt/uImage.buffalo.bak /mnt/uImage.buffalo
         mv /mnt/initrd.buffalo.bak /mnt/initrd.buffalo
  2. Boot from the hard drive and perform a stock firmware update using
     the Buffalo utility. The NAND will be restored to the original
     state.

57a38c8d3e mvebu: add Methode euroDPU support
Add support for Methode euroDPU which is based on uDPU but does not
have a second SFP cage, instead of which a Maxlinear G.hn IC is used.

PHY mode is set to 1000Base-X despite Maxlinear IC being capable of
2500Base-X since until 5.15 support for mvebu is available trying to use
2500Base-X will cause buffer overruns for which the fix is not easily
backportable.

Installation instructions:
1. Boot the FIT initramfs image (openwrt-mvebu-cortexa53-methode_edpu-initramfs.itb)
2. sysupgrade using the openwrt-mvebu-cortexa53-methode_edpu-firmware.tgz

7f73acade0 mvebu: update and refactor uDPU DTS
uDPU DTS has pending upstream fixups, so backport those as well as split
the DTS into a DTSI and DTS in preparation for euroDPU support which
uses uDPU as the base.

Ethernet aliases have not yet been sent upstream but will be soon in order
for U-boot to set the correct MAC on both ethernet interfaces instead of
just one.

Since U-boot environment now has its own partition, update the envtools
config script to search for it instead.

Patch hardcoding PHY mode is also not applicable anymore, so drop it and
set in the uDPU DTS directly.

Installation:

Copy dtb from build_dir to bin/ and run tftpserver there:
$ cp ./build_dir/target-aarch64_cortex-a72_musl/linux-mvebu_cortexa72/image-armada-7040-mochabin.dtb bin/targets/mvebu/cortexa72/
$ in.tftpd -L -s bin/targets/mvebu/cortexa72/

Connect to the device UART via microUSB port and power on the device.

Power on the device and hit any key to stop the autoboot.

Set serverip (host IP) and ipaddr (any free IP address on the same subnet), e.g:
$ setenv serverip 192.168.1.10 # Host
$ setenv ipaddr 192.168.1.15 # Device

Set the ethernet device (Example for the 1G WAN):
$ setenv ethact mvpp2-2

Ping server to confirm network is working:
$ ping $serverip
Using mvpp2-2 device
host 192.168.1.15 is alive

Tftpboot the firmware:
$ tftpboot $kernel_addr_r openwrt-mvebu-cortexa72-globalscale_mochabin-initramfs-kernel.bin
$ tftpboot $fdt_addr_r image-armada-7040-mochabin.dtb

Boot the image:
$ booti $kernel_addr_r - $fdt_addr_r

Once the initramfs is booted, transfer openwrt-mvebu-cortexa72-globalscale_mochabin-squashfs-sdcard.img.gz
to /tmp dir on the device.

Gunzip and dd the image:
$ gunzip /tmp/openwrt-mvebu-cortexa72-globalscale_mochabin-squashfs-sdcard.img.gz
$ dd if=/tmp/openwrt-mvebu-cortexa72-globalscale_mochabin-squashfs-sdcard.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 && sync

Reboot the device.

Hit any key to stop the autoboot.

Reset U-boot env and set the bootcmd:
$ env default -a
$ setenv bootcmd 'load mmc 0 ${loadaddr} boot.scr && source ${loadaddr}'

Optionally I would advise to edit the console env variable to remove earlycon as that
causes the kernel to never use the driver for the serial console.
Earlycon should be used only for debugging before the kernel can configure the console
and will otherwise cause various issues with the console.

$ setenv console 'console=ttyS0,115200'

Save and reset
$ saveenv
$ reset

OpenWrt should boot from eMMC now.

713be75439 uboot-envtools: mvebu: update uci defaults for Turris Omnia
From version 2021.09 U-Boot will fixup Turris Omnia's DTB before
booting, separating U-Boot's environment into separate MTD partition
"u-boot-env" [1].

Check if "u-boot-env" MTD partition exists and set the uci defaults
accordingly.

This patch adds support for Globalscale ESPRESSObin-Ultra. Device uses
the same Armada-3720 SoC with extended hardware support.

Mainline u-boot dynamically passes the mtd partitions via devicetree:

04d3b517dc uboot-envtools: mvebu: update uci defaults for Turris Omnia
On the Turris Omnia 2019, u-boot environment is located at 0xF0000, instead
of 0xC0000. The switch happened with u-boot-omnia package version 2019-04-2
(May 10, 2019).

Check the installed u-boot release, and set the default accordingly.

9faf9f8f23 mvebu: fix support for Marvell 8040 MACCHIATOBin
Between kernels 4.20 and 5.0, a new variant of this board has been
introduced ("Single Shot"), and the existing one has been renamed
with the appendix "Double Shot". [1]
This also adjusted the first compatible in the list:

marvell,armada8040-mcbin -> marvell,armada8040-mcbin-doubleshot

This patch updates the OpenWrt implementation of this device by
adjusting the relevant references to that compatible (i.e., our
board name).

To still provide support for 4.19 with our setup, this adds a
small patch to change the compatible there as well.

df6f3090c4 mvebu: rename Linksys devices based on their common names
The Linksys devices in mvebu target feature a mixed naming,
where parts are based on the official product name (device
node, image; e.g. WRT3200ACM) and parts are based on the
internal code name (DTS file name, compatible, LED labels;
e.g. rango). This inconsistent naming has been perceived
as quite confusing.

A recent attempt by Paul Spooren to harmonize this naming
in kernel has been declined there. However, for us it still
makes sense to apply at least a part of these changes
locally.

Primarily, this patch changes the compatible in DTS and thus
the board name used in various scripts to have them in line
with the device, model and image names. Due to the recent
switch from swconfig to DSA, this allows us to drop
SUPPORTED_DEVICES and thus prevent seamless upgrade between
these incompatible setups.

However, this does not include the LED label rename from
Paul's initial patch: I don't think it's worth keeping the
enormous diff locally for this case, as we can implement
this much easier in 01_leds if we have to live with the
inconsistency anyway.

3fdb08681b mvebu: tidy up support for GL.iNet GL-MV1000
This fixes a bunch of cosmetic issues with GL.iNet GL-MV1000:

- apply alphabetic sorting in multiple files
- use armada-3720 prefix for DTS like for other devices
- fix vendor capitalization for model in DTSes
- remove trivial comment in DTS files
- use DEVICE_VENDOR/DEVICE_MODEL
- remove redundant SUPPORTED_DEVICES
- use SOC instead of DEVICE_DTS
- remove empty line at EOF

7dff6a8c89 mvebu: uDPU: add sysupgrade support
This patch adds sysupgrade, uboot-env and networking support
for Methode uDPU device.

Device features 4 partitions:

Idea was to use f2fs only but the u-boot currently lacks support
so first 2 partition are ext4 to be u-boot readable, and this was
a reason why custom build and sysupgrade sections were required.

On the sysupgrade, boot and rootfs partitions are updated, firmare
image and user configuration is saved on the misc partition and if
the upgrade was successfull, recovery partition will be updated on
after the reboot from preinit script. If the sysupgrade fails for any
reason, device will fallback to recovery initramfs image.

bc47285cb3 mvebu: fix regression for non-generic ESPRESSObin versions
When targets for multiple ESPRESSObin devices were added, not all
files were updated which means any ESPRESSObin version beside generic
won't have proper networking, sysupgrade and uboot-env. This patch
fixes the issue.

identifying devices by dts file name. With this we can drop mvebu.sh
translation script and rely on common method for model detection.

9f3f61a0d9 mvebu: add support for Turris Omnia
Adds support for the Turris Omnia and builds an eMMC sysupgrade image in
the same format as the SolidRun ClearFog.

An initramfs image in the simple yet Omnia-specific 'medkit' image format
is also built in order to ease the initial flashing process.

Notable hardware support omissions are support for switching between SFP
cage and copper PHY, and RGB LED control.

Due to a current limitation of DSA, only 1/2 CPU switch uplinks are used.

Specifications:

Flash instructions:
If the U-Boot environment has been modified previously (likely manually via
serial console), first use serial to reset the default environment.
=> env default -a

Method 1 - USB 'medkit' image w/o serial
- Copy openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-sysupgrade.img.gz and
omnia-medkit-openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-initramfs.tar.gz to the root of a
USB flash drive formatted with FAT32 / ext2/3/4 / btrfs / XFS.
Note that the medkit MUST be named omnia-medkit*.tar.gz
- Disconnect other USB devices from the Omnia and connect the flash drive
to either USB port.
- Power on the Omnia and hold down the rear reset button until 4 LEDs are
illuminated, then release.
- Wait approximately 2 minutes for the Turris Omnia to flash itself with
the temporary image, during which LEDs will change multiple times.
- Connect a computer to a LAN port of the Turris Omnia with a DHCP client
- (if necessary) ssh-keygen -R 192.168.1.1
- ssh root@192.168.1.1
$ mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
$ sysupgrade /mnt/openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-sysupgrade.img.gz
- Wait another minute for the final OpenWrt image to be flashed. The Turris
Omnia will reboot itself and you can remove the flash drive.

Method 2 - TFTP w/ serial
- Extract omnia-medkit-openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-initramfs.tar.gz and copy
dtb + zImage to your TFTP server (rename if desired)
- Connect Turris Omnia WAN port to DHCP-enabled network with TFTP server
- Connect serial console and interrupt U-Boot
=> dhcp
=> setenv serverip <tftp_server_ip_here>
=> tftpboot 0x01000000 zImage
=> tftpboot 0x02000000 dtb
=> bootz 0x01000000 - 0x02000000
- OpenWrt will now boot from ramdisk
- Download openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-sysupgrade.img.gz to /tmp/
$ sysupgrade /tmp/openwrt-mvebu-turris-omnia-sysupgrade.img.gz
- Wait another minute for the final OpenWrt image to be flashed. The Turris
Omnia will reboot itself.
