base-files: add a hardware detection layer this allows targets to use the new uci-default helper which will generate a file called /etc/board.json. a tool called /bin/config_generate can then be used to generate the default uci settings. base-files: also generate configs when current is empty (FS#193) Before a configuration is generated, an empty file is created to store it in. (required by UCI) If something happens during config generation (power cut, interruption, ..) an empty file exists and it is never regenerated again, causing some daemons to fail starting (NTPD, logread, ..) Fix this by also generating new configs if a critical file is empty. base-files: replace backticks by $(...) This replaces deprecated backticks by more versatile $(...) syntax. This does not touch lib/upgrade/nand.sh, as there replacement is not trivial. treewide: remove execute bit and shebang from board.d files So far, board.d files were having execute bit set and contained a shebang. However, they are just sourced in board_detect, with an apparantly unnecessary check for execute permission beforehand. Replace this check by one for existance and make the board.d files "normal" files, as would be expected in /etc anyway.
