crosstool-ng/patches/glibc/2.3.4/glibc-configure-apple-as.patch
Yann E. MORIN" 1906cf93f8 Add the full crosstool-NG sources to the new repository of its own.
You might just say: 'Yeah! crosstool-NG's got its own repo!".
Unfortunately, that's because the previous repo got damaged beyond repair and I had no backup.
That means I'm putting backups in place in the afternoon.
That also means we've lost history... :-(

http://sources.redhat.com/ml/crossgcc/2004-02/msg00151.html
The following makes it possible to configure glibc-2.3.2 on Mac OS X,
where the assembler but doesn't understand the --version flag.
Fixes the symptom
checking whether ld is GNU ld... no
checking for /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/as... /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/as
checking version of /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/as...
<PAUSES HERE AND JUST SITS THERE DOING NOTHING>
